These cheese-tastic veggie burgers are packed with goodness of Veggies like tomatoes, onions, cucumber, corns are a great way to work in that extra serving of veggies to your child’s favorite dish.

Ingredients

3-4 burger
  1. For patties
  2. 1/2 carrot finely chopped
  3. 2 tbsp sweet corn
  4. 2 tbsp green peas
  5. 4 beans finely chopped (optional)
  6. 6 gobhi(cauliflower) finely chopped (optional)
  7. 1/4 tsp salt
  8. 3 potatoes boiled/mashed
  9. 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  10. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  11. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1/2 tsp kashmiri lal mirch
  13. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  14. To taste Salt
  15. 2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  16. 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  17. For slurry
  18. 2 tbsp corn flour
  19. 1/4 cup maida/ plain flour
  20. 1/2 cup water
  21. Other ingredients
  22. 1 cup breadcrumbs for coating
  23. as needed Oil for shallow frying
  24. 3 tbsp eggless Mayonnaise
  25. 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  26. 1 Tsp chilli sauce
  27. 3 burger buns
  28. 1 slices tomato
  29. 1 slices capsicum
  30. 1 slices onion
  31. 1 slices cucumber
  32. Pinch salt
  33. Pinch black pepper powder
  34. Pinch oregano
  35. 3 cheese slices
  36. 4 tsp Butter (optional)

Steps

  1. For veg pattie- firstly, steam ½ carrot, 2 tbsp sweet corn, 2 tbsp peas and ¼ tsp salt,steam for 10 minutes on medium flame.
    Transfer the steamed vegetables to large mixing bowl.

  2. Now add 3 boiled and mashed potato.
    further, add ¼ tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp chaat masala and ½ tsp salt.

  3. Add 2 tbsp coriander and mix well combining all the spices well.

  4. Furthermore add ¼ cup bread crumbs and mix well. breadcrumbs help to absorb moisture from vegetables.

  5. Take a bowl and prepare a slurry by mixing 2 tbsp cornflour, ¼ cup maida and ½ cup water in a small bowl.

  6. Prepare ball sized patties and dip in maida slurry,coat with breadcrumbs uniformly.

  7. Shallow fry in hot oil keeping the flame on medium fryy on both sides, until it turns golden brown. drain off and keep aside.

  8. Burger prepration- firstly, in a small bowl take 3 tbsp eggless mayonnaise, 2 tbsp tomato sauce and 1 tsp chilli sauce,mix well-forming burger sauce

  9. Spread a tbsp of prepared burger sauce on the bun, place a few slices of tomato, cucumber and jalapeno or the kind of veggies you have I used onion, capsicum, tomatoes.

  10. Sprinkle salt, oregano and pepper slightly, layer with a cheese slice.

  11. Further place prepared patties and cover with another part of the bun, you can spread butter and heat for 1-2 minutes in microwave.

  12. Enjoy veggie burger with chips and salad.
